Exciting Updates Coming to Disneyland, Disney World in April 2024
More than dozen new shows, events and tickets deals are debuting this month
As spring blooms, Disneyland and Walt Disney World will offer a plethora of new experiences and offerings in April 2024, from thrilling adventures to special ticket deals to enticing food offerings and exciting updates.
Here’s a roundup of what to look out for this month:
Disneyland
Season of the Force – April 5 – June 2: Prepare to immerse yourself in the epic world of Star Wars as Season of the Force arrives at Disneyland Park. From April 5 to June 2, guests can experience Hyperspace Mountain, specially-themed food and beverages, merchandise, and more. Be sure to embark on new adventures aboard Star Tours – The Adventures Continue, and witness Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which provides a fresh perspective on the fireworks above Disneyland Park.
“Mickey’s Mix Magic” – April 15-25: Projections, lighting effects, lasers and catchy Disney tunes create a family-friendly dance party atmosphere throughout Disneyland Park. The high-energy nighttime spectacular returns for a brief stay with the addition of fireworks on select evenings.
Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite – Select Nights: Calling all Star Wars fans! Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite will take place on select nights in April and May. This separately ticketed event promises an immersive Star Wars experience, complete with expanded themed foods and entertainment offerings. Mark your calendars for April 16, 18, 23, 25, and 30, and May 2, 7, and 9, 2024, for an unforgettable galactic adventure.
Disneyland Resort Pixar Fest – April 26 – August 4: Get ready to celebrate the magic of Pixar during Disneyland Resort Pixar Fest, running from April 26 to August 4, 2024.
“Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” – April 26-Aug. 4: A tribute to the journey of friendship, this heartwarming show returns with some all-new scenes as part of the limited-time Pixar Fest
“Better Together – A Pixar Pals Celebration!” – Debuts April 26: The new daytime parade at Disney California Adventure Park debuts during Pixar Fest, featuring favorite friends and new characters from the latest Pixar films, including “Turning Red.”

New Earth Month Food and Drink – April 1: April kicks off Earth Month, and Walt Disney World will celebrate as it normally does—with food and drink. All April long, treat your taste buds with new bites, such as the Raindrop Tart from The Mara and The Plant in the Boot Petit Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie. The Elephant Cupcake is making its return to Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Here’s the list of what’s coming.
Special Ticket Deals at Walt Disney World Begin – April 2: Walt Disney World announces a specially priced 4-Park Magic Ticket starting from $99 per day, plus tax. This ticket grants admission to each of the four Walt Disney World theme parks—Magic Kingdom park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, EPCOT, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios—on four separate days. Dates are valid from April 2 through Sept. 22, 2024, and do not require theme park reservations.
Discover Disney Ticket for Florida Residents -April 2: From April 2 through Sept. 28, 2024, Florida residents can take advantage of new three- and four-day ticket deals at Walt Disney World. The Discover Disney Ticket offers flexibility and savings, providing residents with an opportunity to experience the magic of Disney at a discounted rate.
Star Tours New Scenes Debut – April 5: Star Tours—The Adventures Continue will introduce a new destination and characters from recent Disney+ series—“Ahsoka,” “Andor,” and “The Mandalorian.” Starting April 5, guests may now encounter urgent transmissions from Ahsoka Tano, Cassian Andor, or Din Djarin and Grogu during their flight.
Guest to Cast Pin Trading – April 7: Disney enthusiasts and pin collectors alike will rejoice as Guest to Cast Pin Trading returns on April 7. This beloved tradition allows visitors to trade pins with Disney cast members, adding to the magic and camaraderie of the Disney experience.
1900 Park Fare Reopens – April 10: The restaurant at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa reopens on April 10 featuring an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet at breakfast and dinner—with visits from Characters from classic Disney films, as well as newer favorites like “Encanto” and “The Princess and the Frog.”
Disney Springtime Surprise Weekend – April 18-21: The 2024 runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend starts with the Peter Pan and Tinker Bell-inspired Neverland 5K. Next up is the Adventure Is Out There 10K, where you’ll meet beloved characters from Disney and Pixar’s “Up.” Run wild with the Hakuna Matata 10-Miler, celebrating the 30th Anniversary of “The Lion King.” Complete all three races for the Stitch’s ‘Ohana Challenge and earn a commemorative medal symbolizing unity.
Dapper Days – April 21 and 22 – An unofficial weekend in which participants are encouraged to “step out in style,” a retro look, at Disney World. Information can be found at dapperday.com.
Earth Day Celebration – April 22: Celebrate Earth Day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom with special family-friendly experiences and specialty offerings. More specifics are expected to be announced soon. This also marks the 26th anniversary of the opening of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
